Fun DIY Spring Décor
1. Tablescapes
Creating a vibrant tablescape will definitely add a fresh touch to your dining table. You can feel prepared for any spring event like Easter, or Mothers Day or just add a touch of color and texture to a large blank space. A few items to try: a patterned table runner, floral centerpieces, colorful plates, glasses, and placemats.
2. Redecorate the Mantle
The mantle is definitely a showstopper for the holiday seasons but why stop there? When spring rolls around you can use seasonal items like fresh plants and figurines to refresh the space.
3. Change Out Wall Art
I know we tend to just let wall art become a permanent fixture once we hang it, it doesnt move and after a while we forget its even there. Lets break that habit by adding some fun colors, and swapping out old framed prints with something like this DIY dried floral décor.
4. Change your Curtains
You can either make your own curtains out of some beautiful fabric to save some money and use curtain rings with clips to hang on your existing curtain rods. You can use hem tape to hem the bottom of the DIY curtain. WALAH you have a fresh set of curtains for a fraction of the cost.
5. Add an Accent Wall With Peel & Stick Wallpaper
Thanks to peel-and-stick wallpaper, adding a pop of spring to your décor has never been easier or more DIY friendly. Try adding a fun accent wall or try your hand at wallpapering an entire powder room to add a pop of color or floral accents.
6. Rearrange your furniture
The easiest and most cost effective option there is. Sometimes just moving stuff around can give a whole new look to your space. Try this before buying new stuff or accents.
7. Make A Spring Wreath
The dollar tree has all the items you need to craft yourself a custom spring wreath! They always have seasonal ribbon and flowers in stock. Additionally they have an entire craft section where you can find a wire base to build a wreath around. I recommend using a hot glue gun which you can purchase at the dollar tree as well. This will help secure items to the wreath without seeing the glue.
8. Paint A Custom Doormat
Grab yourself a plain coir doormat, acrylic paints, and have yourself an afternoon. Try freehand or use some floral stencils to liven up the custom door mat. After that, go to the local garden center and grab some fresh flowers to add to your entryway for a fun spring DIY!
9. Use A Pitcher As A Vase
Have any old pitchers around that you just don’t use? Why not put some water in there and cut some fresh flowers from the garden. Even go get yourself some flowers from the market and arrange yourself a nice centerpiece for the table or island in the kitchen.
All of these DIY Spring Décor Ideas can be created or curated from items that you already own. Don’t forget to check out local antique shops, goodwill, or garage sales when thinking about DIY Décor. Vases and picture frames are always great items to snatch up even if they aren’t perfect, you can paint them and add new life!
Happy DIY’ing!!
